Mind

If there is one thing we all need very much,
it is this training of the mind
to reach out for the greater, the worthier, the superior
in all thought and action.

To promote its own development the mind must be true to itself,
and just to its own laws.

The conscious mind is controlled by the understanding and the will.

Every tendency of the mind
should be trained to act with the process of construction,
and should be prompted to deal exclusively
with the elements of quality and worth.

The mind should be daily drilled, in the thinking of absolute truth;
that is in the mental or verbal expression of statements of truth.

When the mind assumes the form of truth,
every action of the mind will become an expression of the truth.

When the mind is formed by truth,
only true conditions will be formed by the mind.

Every mind becomes strong
when constantly filled with thoughts that are positive and determined.

Hold the mind in a strong, firm, positive attitude at all times,
but especially while surrounded by conditions that are inferior.

The power of the mind includes
the power of the will, the power of desire,
the power of feeling, and the power of thought.
It includes the conscious in all its phases
and the subconscious in all its phases;
in fact it includes anything and everything that is placed in action
through the mind, by the mind or in the mind.

A positive mind is like a powerful stream of water
that is gathering volume and force
from hundreds of tributaries all along its course.
The further on it goes the greater its power,
until when it reaches its goal, that power is simply immense.
A negative mind, however, would be something like a stream,
that the further it flows the more divisions it makes,
until, when it reaches its goal,
instead of being one powerful stream,
it has become a hundred, small, weak, shallow streams.

The way the mind goes, everything else will go also.

Give the mind something bright to think of and it will move upwards.

When the mind is absolutely conscious of any quality
it becomes unconscious of everything
that is outside of the world of that quality.

The purpose of the ideal mind is to give the whole of attention
to the development of the best there is
in personality, mentality, character and soul.

The mind has the power to create its own atmosphere,
to surround itself with a mental world that corresponds exactly to its own ideals.

The most powerful forces of mind
are those that are deeply emotional,
but that act so quietly that they appear to be perfectly still.

The longer the mind can continue in absolute stillness,
while being fully and tremendously alive,
the greater becomes the power,
until the soul becomes a spiritual giant.

The mind is the master, provided its mastership is exercised.

The mind that is constantly in a state of poise and harmony,
judges well.

You are not required to carry anything on your mind.

It is only when the mind continues to act upon the surface
that it is difficult to change the mind.

The mind that is in the light wants the truth,
and the truth only.

The mind cannot be in darkness, weakness or disease
when it is in light, power and health.

Let the light of your mind shine.

The mind has the power to create its own atmosphere,
to surround itself with a mental world that corresponds exactly to its own ideals.
