Training the Subconscious

The subconscious mind can be trained to do almost anything.

It obeys perfectly the directions of the conscious mind.

Live, think and act in the absolute faith
that the subconscious can and will do whatever it is directed to do.

The subconscious can do and will do whatever it is directed to do,
and begins to act the very moment the directions are made.

The subconscious responds readily
to your suggestions, desires or repeated actions.

It submits readily to almost any kind of training,
and will do practically anything that it is directed to do,
whether the thing is to our advantage or not.

Everyone is training these powers constantly,
though not always in a manner that is conducive to health and happiness.

After the subconscious mind has begun to do a certain thing
it will continue to do that particular thing
unless the conscious mind directs otherwise.

The subconscious mind never modifies
its regular actions unless impressed to do so by the conscious mind.

We are all familiar with the experience
that is encountered when we try to eradicate from the subconscious
something that has had full sway from childhood;
but it is something that has to be done
if we are to obtain complete freedom
and prepare ourselves for a greater and more useful life.

Whenever you have formed a habit
you have trained the subconscious powers
to do something they did not do before.
When you change the habit,
you turn those same powers in a different direction.

When you cultivate likes or dislikes of various kinds,
you train the subconscious along those different lines.
You do the same whenever you form tendencies of desires
along any line whatever.

The subconscious can be assisted, modified, changed or governed
by the power of conscious thought.

The subconscious mind is always ready, willing and competent
to make any change for the better
in our physical or mental make-up that we may desire,
though it does not work in some miraculous manner,
nor does it usually produce results instantaneously.
In most instances its actions are gradual,
but they invariably produce the results intended
if the proper training continues.

The conscious mind must proceed systematically and thoroughly
to re-create the subconscious mind in all its phases.

Before impressing the subconscious
the entire system should be made
as calm and peaceful as possible.

The principal directions
should be given to the subconscious
immediately before going to sleep.

By impressing the idea of spotless virtue upon the subconscious
every day for a few months,
your moral tendencies will become so strong
that nothing can tempt you
to do what you know to be wrong.

All thought should be gradually refined
until one can feel that the conscious thought
has been completely transformed
into the spiritual fineness of the subconscious thought.

To direct the subconscious along any line,
it is only necessary to desire what you want
and to make those desires so deep and so persistent
that they become positive forces in the subconscious field.

What you impress or direct the subconscious to do
while in this state of deep, strong feeling,
that the subconscious always will do.

The idea must not simply be given to the subconscious,
it must enter into the subconscious.

Every impression given to the subconscious should have soul.

Talk to your subconscious mind,
giving it directions as if you were speaking to a living person.
And in a sense, you are speaking to a living person.
Your subconscious mind is a part of yourself, a living person.

When impressing the subconscious,
have clearly fixed in mind what you want done and when.

Give your unconscious mental world
something important to do every hour.

Make it a point
to give special directions to the subconscious every day
for the steady improvement of mind, character and personality along all lines.

To properly direct the subconscious at all times,
it is therefore necessary to train the mind to think only of those things
one desires to realize and express in tangible life;
and what one does not wish to meet in personal experience
should never be given a single moment of thought.

The subconscious should always be directed
to produce those qualities and conditions that are desired,
but the conditions that are to be removed should never be mentioned in mind.

Never direct the subconscious
to remove disease, weakness or adverse conditions.
To do so would be the same as to sow weeds in your garden.

The purpose of consciously and intelligently directing the subconscious
is first, to correct every wrong, every flaw, every defect,
every perversion and every imperfect condition
that may exist in the personality of man;
and, second, to bring out into fuller expression
the limitless possibilities that exist in the great within.

You can do anything.
You always respond the very moment you receive my directions.
You can change any condition in my system
whenever I wish you to do so.
You can produce any condition in my system that I may desire.
Your supply is limitless.
