Will

There are many powers in man,
but there is only one power that has controlling power,
and that power is the will.

The purpose of the will
is to control and direct all the other powers of man.

The power of the will
is the power of the individual ego or self
to initiate action anywhere in his own system;
or to act through some element, force, function or faculty in the system,
having a definite purpose in view.

The controlling power of the will
can cause any other power in man
to do whatever the will may direct it to do.

Will will gain conscious control of energy in every part of the system.

The complete will, that is, the full use of the will,
controls both thought and action
and must act in both in order to produce results.

What we wish to have done in the mind
we must will to do in the mind.
What we wish to have done in the body
we must will to do in the body.

We can do nothing until we have the will to do it.

The will is created to take the initial step
in everything that transpires in human existence.

The object of the will is to impress upon consciousness
those actions or qualities that are desired in personal expression.

The will controls and directs every faculty of the mind;
the stronger the will, the more efficient will that faculty become
that is necessary to carry out the purposes of the will.

The will always intensifies any mental process,
and thereby tends to bring to a climax any creative process
that may be going on in the mind.

The will must not act upon the external phase
of any idea, desire or condition,
but must intentionally act upon the internal side only.

The true function of will
is to act upon the finer states of consciousness,
that is, the subconscious states.

To regulate the tendencies of mind,
the will must act on the finer or inner side of consciousness;
and whatever the will wills to have done while acting upon the finer side,
the same will be done.

To express the full power of the will,
every action of the will must be positive,
and the will must act subjectively,
that is it must act through the undercurrents,
or through the attitude of finer feeling.

Will to will more;
that is, think of your will, knowing what it is,
and determine to express more of the power of will in every act of the will.

Increase the application and the range of the will continuously.

Make it a practice for a few moments several times every day
to try to will into action more energy and more ability.

Take several moments, three or four times every day,
and give special attention to the making of the will
stronger, deeper and more positive.

We must know what we want to do along every line;
then go and do it with a will -
a simple practice that develops real will power to a marked degree.

Always remember to combine deep feeling
with every exercise or expression of the will.

Whenever you use the will feel deeply.

The deeper the feeling, the stronger the will.

When you will anything,
will it with all there is in you.

Make the will deeper, larger, more firm and more determined.

Whenever the will is used to its full capacity,
it will grow and develop.

Take positive hold of your will,
and be determined, henceforth, to apply the full power of the will -
and always for more life, for more energy, for greater strength, for better health
and for everything that can add to your greatest welfare and highest good.

Use the full power of your will upon your entire personality.

When your will is immensely strong within your limited world,
you will become so strong that your power will be felt
outside of your limited world.

Use the will only upon yourself - upon the best in yourself,
and with a view of causing higher, greater and more efficient action
in every power, faculty, talent, force of function you possess.

A deep strong will means a strong mind.

A strong will is deep, continuous and persistent.

The stronger the will is,
the more difficult it is for anything to disturb your mind.

When the feeling of life is deep
and when that depth of life is calm and strong,
then you will gain that power that contains the controlling power.
Then you will gain what may be termed indomitable will.

Will is soul power.

The power of your will comes
from the limitless power of your own invincible soul.

Your will - your true will -
is the power of the soul in positive, determined expression.

To keep the mind open to the perpetual influx
of life and power from on high -
that is what the true will is created to do.

The true function of will is to hold the mind in such a state
that the higher mind may find a full and free expression of the infinite in man.

Real will power is inseparably united with the superior man within,
in fact, is the expression of the superior man within.

The superior man within controls the controlling power of the will.

It is the superior man within that exercises real will power -
the power that can control.

You gain possession of real will power
only when you begin to feel that you are the greater man within.

That greater something within us
that constitutes the controlling power of the will must be in action
before we can will to do or become
whatever we may desire to do or become.

The great will moves easily,
but with a well-defined, determined purpose;
and it is gentle, but powerful; kind but invincible.
The great will is always serene, but deep and positive,
with tremendous capacity and range -
a calmly orderly-moving avalanche of constructive power.

When your individual mind
is in such perfect harmony with the Supreme mind
that the divine will can be given free and full expression,
the will of your individual mind becomes invincible.
